I meant to upload this sooner, but real life got the best of me.

It's Kari Alistair pulling Rob into a surprise kiss for New Years'.

Forgive the crappy coloring, I did this outside of home.

Ciao.

Fun fact: Rob was normally a chaste hero until he met Kari. Now he's semi-chaste. No other girl can turn him on besides Kari. A fact that she gleefully takes advantage off. Example: One time Rob went home and when he opened the door, found Kari in a maid outfit. And that weren't bad enough, she said "Welcome home, master!" and bowed, showing her ample cleavage. The amount of blood Rob lost nasally was inhuman.

I actually have a picture of that moment. And now I'm thinking about uploading it. ...What the Hell, I will! Soon.

So does Kari do it because she likes him that much or because she likes to mess with him?
Rob is Karisexual. XD
Chaste heroes are interesting, I think. Too much emphasis is put on sex these days.

She messes with him BECAUSE she likes him that much. It's essentially super-flirting. Karisexual. XD That's a really good way of putting it. And I got the idea of a chaste hero from shonen manga, like a lot of ideas for Dracolupus Twins came from.

A lot of shonen heroes either don't notice romance or don't care for it. I liked that. But when I put heroines in my stories, I want to include romance too, so that people WON'T make crack pairings for my characters. No offense, considering what we just talked about before, but I cherish my characters a lot, so unless it was for fun, blatantly defying my intentions for my characters and putting them in oddball relationships really offends me. Well, it WOULD, if anyone KNEW about my characters or cared enough to ship them. God, I wanna be dA-popular! XD

I agree that too much emphasis is put on sex these days, but I like to think I put the right amount of enticement in my stories for people to like and not get offended.

BTW, I answered your poll, but I'm not subscribed. So answer me this: What crack pairing would you support of my characters? (Braces himself)

Yeah, I guess that's one reason I like shonen so much; fighting/adventure first, romance later!
None taken. I think the reason I can joke about this kind of thing is because I'm very good at separating canon from noncanon and crack. I wasn't always. Case in point: back when I started Nuke Town, I told someone that they can ship Angelo and Due with whoever they wanted so long as it wasn't each other, the reason being that Plateface and G7itch and Gestalt etc, weren't part of their universe, so there was no way it could mess with my view of the canon. Now, just because of how close those two are and their type of relationship, I still tread carefully when it comes to cracking-shipping them. (And, to be honest, because I like my crack with a high dose of realism and my OOC moments just slightly OOC, if I ended up with characters that aren't romantically-interested in each other, I was planning on drawing them revolting, weirded-out, or trying to escape.

I like to tell people that if my characters ever get popular, weird fanpairings are inevitable, so I decided to beat them to it by naming all possible pairings, slash and otherwise (I still have a lot to go though). XD

Hm, well, I can't really crack-ship on command, so to speak. Sometimes, I'll see a couple of characters and think "they'd make a horrible/ridiculous couple!" but I don't usually go looking for crack pairings. *shrug*

I seem to remember either you or :iconshadowrune01: trying to ship Plateface with G7itch. Ninja wisely opposed it, because "Plateface is too much of a stick in the mud" or something. Plateface isn't into romance, not out of chastity, but because he's so obsessed with his revenge that he really doesn't see it as useful, or even see it at all! You could hit on him all you want, he'll just walk past you. You'd be lucky to even get a "Please leave me alone" out of him. XD

I'm glad you didn't actually ship anyone, because I don't think I could stomach the results. XD

Lol, well, with Nuke Town, pretty much every pairing suggestion was a result of throwing out ideas of what would be the least likely or craziest result. My favorite suggestion was Yoichi x Aurora, which was obviously very messed-up.
I don't remember shipping Plateface with anyone, so it must have been someone else. I eventually crack-shipped Due with G7itch, even though I was very against it at first because Due is supposed to be asexual. Canonically, he is asexual anyway. Hate-shipping those two is too much fun otherwise.

Back on the topic of respecting characters, I think it's a very good thing. This might sound hypocritical depending on how much respect it seems like I give my characters, but when people don't respect their own characters, I'm turned off to their story. -especially things like tasteless fanservice (like multiple pics of just senseless perverted poses).

Mm-hmm. Creators need to respect their creations more. Readers won't sympathize with the story if even the author can't! I'm not saying we should treat our characters like they were our children, because that'd be creepy. Rather think of them as people you're trying to do justice for by writing for them. Sorta. When characters get established, the fun part comes in trying to keep them in character. It's challenging sure, but I believe there's a certain satisfaction when you say to yourself "Nah, that's not cool. Rob/Due/Whatever would never do that." Because you've already fleshed out the character, you already know them on a closer-than-personal level. So I don't think it's really THAT hypocritical when you say that. Really it shows me you're a real author, a genuine creator with a respect for creation, and those're the people I respect the most.
